Launch of the Future of Governance Agency
Disruption already defines the 21st century. More is coming. The world has changed faster than the governance structures meant to keep us safe. This is why the Future of Governance Agency – FOGA – has been created. FOGA pairs ideas for upgrades with the public and its institutions.
FOGA’s role is that of a communicative link, between people with ideas and those well-positioned to advocate, prototype and implement them. FOGA, on one end, provides ideators with what they need: communication services, ways to package their innovations and give them reach. On the other end, FOGA offers upskilling packages of ideas to actors within the institutions of today. This includes orientating talks, workshops and advisory capacity. Lastly, FOGA conducts original research in particularly promising or neglected areas where foresight and governance intersect.
I am honored to be part of the FOGA Team in an advisory role.
The silence procedure of the final draft decision to the theme for the ECOSOC and HLPF was not broken. That means that the ECOSOC 2019-2020 & HLPF 2020 Theme is: Accelerated action and transformative pathways: realizing the decade of action and delivery for sustainable development’.
UNDESA Knowledge Exchange on VNR
On behalf of Stakeholder Forum for a Sustainable Future, I made one of the 2 minutes “pitches” to Member States at the VNR knowledge exchange meeting organized by UN DESA and the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 20 November 2019 in Oslo, Norway. Stakeholder Forum’s pitched the recently launched Global Forum for National SDG Advisory Bodies. More information here.
